Wihlborgs

Certification of a 540,000 sqm portfolio

Certification of 540,000 sqm

Ambitious target across a large portfolio

Most people associate December with sweets and holiday parties. At Wihlborgs A/S Properties, the focus was data for DGNB Operation, documentation, and strict deadlines.

The market is moving fast. Shareholders and tenants no longer accept statements of intent - they require documented sustainability. For Wihlborgs, that meant an ambitious target: 90% of the Danish portfolio had to be submitted for certification before New Year.

The scaling challenge

The biggest barrier to green ambition is often lack of visibility. Legacy siloed workflows, with data locked in spreadsheets and email threads, make scaling difficult. If each building is handled as a manual one-person project, time runs out before the target is reached.

"Better many good ones than a few perfect ones."

Mikkel Willard, Wihlborgs

Sustainability should not be a side project - it should be integrated into day-to-day property operations.

The practical solution

This is where Openframe comes in. Certifying 20+ properties at the same time requires a platform that creates visibility into status, documentation, and responsibility.

With strong collaboration, a few hectic days before submission, and a new integration to the Danish Green Building Council's SySo platform, all properties were submitted on time.
